There are some Wacom pens that will work but generally you must use one designed for a tablet pc. It's just an option. The drivers for XP are still available on the gateway website, however if you decide to upgrade to Windows 7 there are some advanced tricks you need to be aware of to install all the drivers, most of which are outlined in previous posts for your m tablet here on fixya.
I uninstalled several of the most recent windows updates, but that did not work. Aug 18, Gateway ME. I'd take a look at the drivers in device manager, Ralph, and possibly reinstall the Gateway drivers for your M As it is no longer a tablet there is no stylus pen included.
If you are in tablet mode scree covering keyboard try pulling up on the top left and right corners o the screen or put something between the computer and the screen t kind of pry it out while moving around the pen.
This fixed the problem, I thought, however on subsequent reboots, LCD would show a scrambled blue screen or it would be black.
I'm using Ubuntu as I post which seems to have a lot of wacom devices listed just in case that gatewaj in handy- Code:. Is it possible that it's a software problem? Is there a possibility that a software program may be causing the problem?

It's worth a thousand words. I'm thinking that it may have something to do with adaware. Otherwise, I'd contact Gateway again. You will need the pen to use touch screen abilities if you getting working correctly.

The OS will install and work properly but you will gatewway many of your tablet functions. Recently my wife downloaded an update from Microsoft which crashed the system and it would not load Windows even in safe mode. In a previous post, i talk about the instructions I made on getting tablet functionality to work under Ubuntu. How can this be resolved.
